Anyone who has a a doggo will know that most pups do *not* enjoy having their claws clipped. But just like us humans, dogs are also having to resort to DIY home beauty during the coronavirus lockdown.
If you're having trouble clipping your pooch's nails, fear not - one dog mum has shared her own genius hack and it's both brilliant and hilarious.
TikTok user @linds_shelton took to the platform to share a video of how she managed to cut her dog's claws, without him even realising what she was doing.
In the video, the ICU nurse can be seen bizarrely spreading peanut butter on her forehead, which she had covered with cling film.
"First things first, you get this saran wrap," she explained.
"Then, you can the peanut butter and you smear it all over the saran wrap. This peanut butter does not have xylitol, before y'all freak out."
Lindsey then bursts out laughing as her partner can be heard in the background saying: "What the hell are you doing? You dork."
But the nurse, knowing she was onto a good thing, says: "Oh I look like a dork? I'm about to look like a genius!"
And she was so right, because moments later, Lindsey can be seen crouched on the floor, with her pup sat in front of her.
Directing his face to her peanut butter covered forehead, she begins cutting his claws while he enjoys a tasty snack.
The cute pup is so distracted by the delicious peanut butter, he barely even realises what's going on. Mission complete.
Followers were mega impressed with the trick, but if you do fancy trying it yourself, please be extra careful in ensuring you choose a dog-friendly peanut butter.
Some peanut butters can be highly toxic for dogs so it's mega important you choose one that's suitable.
One person commented on the video: "You are brilliant. I have been a groomer for 44 years this year and that was such a cleaver way to distract your dog."
While another said: "This is revolutionary all round."
