Holby City viewers were left in floods of tears during Tuesday's penultimate episode.
The show, which is set to air its final episode next week, had fans seriously emotional after developments in Jac Naylor's storyline.
Tuesday's episode saw Jac embark upon life changing brain surgery - led by friend and doctor Elliot Hope. Although Elliott believes he can remove Jac's brain tumour, her latest scan results are cause for concern, after it's revealed the tumour has rapidly grown.
While Elliot is undecided over what to do, not everyone is happy with the surgery going ahead, with Max urging Elliot to reconsider - despite Jac begging him to continue.
After finally managing to persuade Max, the operation goes ahead. But sadly, it doesn't go to plan and Jac wakes up to find out Elliot was unable to remove the tumour.
Added to that, he refused to let her die as she had originally asked, should the tumour not have been removed.
And viewers were devastated by the scenes, with many admitting to being in tears.
One person wrote: "Holby City had no right to make me cry like that. No. Right."
While another said: "#HolbyCity broke me tonight. Stellar acting, I still can't fathom why they got rid of it."
And a third added: "I haven't stopped crying in the last 20 mins and I am not okay #HolbyCity."
While a fourth commented: "Jac Naylor, the best character that @BBCHolbyCity has ever had - the woman with ice in her veins - broken and crying. I'm gone. Can't imagine what I'm going to be like next week, more tissues required I think. I'll miss you Holby City."
And a fifth wrote: "Raise your hand if you feel emotionally damaged by Holby City."
Holby City continues next Tuesday at 7.50pm on BBC One.
